The Beer:
In 1872, the E. Anheuser & Co. brewers began using the "A" & Eagle trademark as their logo. Four years later, the company introduced its Budweiser lager beer. And four years after that, Ebehard Anheuser's son-in-law, Adolphus Busch, became president of the company. However, Anheuser-Busch history is not all in the distant past. Over the past century and a quarter, the brewery has continued to make the finest beers using only natural ingredients and has remained at the forefront of the beer industry. Anheuser-Busch broke the billion-barrel mark in 1986 and, with Bud Light, the company created the #1 selling light beer in the U.S. (1994). Since then, Anheuser-Busch has introduced an array of new brands, ranging from the familiar Bud Light to the more obscure Elk Mountain Amber Ale. But, through it all, the "King of Beers" has remained Budweiser.
The Delivery Vehicle:
Like Budweiser, another venerable American institution that is respected the world over is Dodge Trucks. In 1936, the Chrysler-built Dodge Brothers truck was renamed Dodge. This truck was known for its passenger car styling and comfort. Soon after, hydrovac brakes were featured and 2-speed axles were a regular option. The trucks reached an international audience through England where Dodge Brothers trucks had been built since 1927...through India where Dodges were built from 1946 through 1972...through Australia since 1958...and through Turkey since 1964. An American classic, the Dodge truck provided quality, durability and ruggedness.
